About

“I Can't Believe it's Not News” is a bi-weekly podcast that explores the fake news phenomena and it's effect on different facets of society.
The podcast premiered in April 2017. Since then we have analyzed fake stories and memes, discussed current events related to fake news and interviewed people who are actually qualified to talk about this stuff, all while having a few laughs and encouraging consumption of real news sources.

Host: Beth Vaughn
Beth is a regular(ish) person with a passion for fighting fake news. She has lived all over the United States and has a degree in Sociology. She thinks she is funny. Some people agree. She loves reading, knitting (sometimes), sleeping, podcasting, saying she just went on a hike, and Christmas lights. Her favorite thing in the world is coffee, and she is desperately ignoring the news that coffee is disappearing. She lives in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and loves the rain.

Co-host: Kelly McCloskey
Kelly is an escapee from the state of Florida. She has always been interested in politics and fighting for whats right. She has an MA in Peace and Conflict Resolution, but her greatest achievement to date is keeping a human alive for over 7 years. She's an ardent listener of books and podcasts and when she's not listening she is definitely talking. In fact, she talks so much that she was asked to talk (semi) professionally on a podcast.
