It feels like time to make a blog for our particular words and terms that we use frequently, or infrequently, or maybe only it makes sense in our heads...  Either way, this post will be updated with new terms as necessary, and if I'm in a good mood - alphabetically.
  1. DJT.  This is how we refer to the current President of the United States.  They are his initials.  We don't really like to say his name, but "he who must not be named" was taken.
  2. Fake News.  Made up news created for disinformation.
  3. Flub.  This is when someone shares a fake news story in error, without malicious intent.
  4. It takes a village.... to fight fake news.
  5. Propaganda.  News that is used to incite.  Propaganda is not always bad, but it has a certain reputation of being bad.
  6. Snopes Mic Drop.  When you drop a Snopes article in response to someone on Facebook, and don't say anything else.  Boom.  I'm right and you're wrong, and nah nah nah boo boo.
  7. Spin.  News that is presented in a way to suit that person's purpose.
  8. Spread jam, not lies.  This is our tag line.  The intent here is to not spread false news, whether you choose to spread jam on toast, or share music you like - is up to you!
